Japanese Mitarashi Dango

Ingredients:

• 70g glutinous rice flour
• 25g rice flour
• 1 tbsp powdered sugar
• A pinch of salt
• 70-80 ml warm water (added gradually)

For the sauce:

• 5 tbsp brown sugar
• 1 tbsp shoyu (soy sauce)
• 1 tbsp tapioca flour
• 100 ml water

Instructions:

1. Mix the glutinous rice flour, rice flour, powdered sugar, a pinch of salt, and water. Knead and form into small balls.
2. Prepare a pan with water, bring it to a boil, and cook the dough balls for 3 minutes.
3. Dry the dough balls using tissue or a clean cloth.
4. Prepare the sauce by mixing the brown sugar, tapioca flour, shoyu, and water.
5. Cook over medium heat until the sauce thickens.
6. Pour the sauce over the boiled dango (dough balls).
7. The Japanese Mitarashi Dango is ready to serve!
